Artistic rebel, urban poet: new book celebrates the iconic photography of Saul Leiter

For his main source of income from the late 1950s through the 1970s, Leiter worked as a fashion photographer, and his pictures were published in magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, Elle, British Vogue, Queen, Nova and Esquire. When we did an exhibition, it got great reviews. He rarely had money for lunch; I'd always take him out to eat.
