Louis Vuitton & Frieze presentes : « Objets Nomades » [Los Angeles]

The luxury brand Louis Vuitton presents a new version of the « Objets Nomades » exhibition in Los Angeles. In partnership with Frieze, it will showcase their new crafted travel-inspired object and furniture collection.

The « Objets Nomades » collection was launched in 2012. Louis Vuitton invites designers from around the world to design innovative and refined furniture or decorative objects according to the House’s pure craft tradition. Each creation pay tribute to Louis Vuitton’s special orders of yesteryear.

The Los Angeles edition includes tables, swing chairs, stools, sofas and mirrors. You can have the chance to see for the first time the « Bomboca Sofa » by the Campana Brothers in the bi-color pink. A shade that was never used before for this sofa.

Some renowned designers such as India Mahdavi, Marcel Wanders, Tokujin Yoshioka or Atelier Biagetti among others, have master the exercise of paying homage to the House’s craftsmanship tradition while blending contemporary visions and innovative materials. More recently Andrew Kudless imagined the “Swell Waves” suspended shelves. The polished oak shelves are connected by straps made from the House’s leather. Symbol of art, discovery and movement, this piece embodies the freedom of thought and the world of travel specific to Louis Vuitton.
